Guidelines for Type of Art on Display

Each display must be ORIGINAL artwork. Artists are encouraged to create art at their spot.
Reproductions must not exceed 25% of display. Posters, giclée, computer print-outs, and photocopies may only a minimal part of your display.
 
One-of-a-kind work will be accepted in the following mediums:
  • Oil painting
  • Acrylic painting
  • ​Watercolour painting
  • Encaustics Drawing (graphite, charcoal, soft or oil pastel, other dry media)
  • Sculpture (stone, clay, metal)
  • Mosaic paintings
  • Printmaking (etching, silkscreen, lithography, woodcut)
  • Caricatures and Portrait Drawings are encouraged.
  • Airbrush (Note: we have no electricity for compressors)

Not all artists are registered at The Paint Spot. Please see below for 'Other Venues' and their criteria of creative items. 

On the Spot Pop Ups Craft Market is curating the open market on the corner of Gateway Boulevard and 84 Avenue, Southside Memorial parking lot across from the Gazebo in McIntyre Park. They are showcasing handmade items such as
  • Cards, bookmarks, pins, magnets, etc.
  • Clothing/fabric, (T-shirts, scarves, hats, quilts, etc.)
  • Pottery, glassware, tableware
  • Jewelry
  • Face painting
  • Comics and graphic novels
  • Photography

Hey photographers! There is a spot for you at the Whyte Avenue Art Walk. Whyte Light Photography Exhibition is moving from café to sidewalk again this year, which means more sunshine and foot traffic! All types of photography are welcome, keeping in mind the prints should be of excellent quality. To submit, please send 2 – 3 images and or a link to your work to
