I am very excited to be participating in the artwalk this year. This is my first time attending any form of event displaying my artwork. I'm usually the one that is looking at all the beautiful artwork created by others.
Over the years, I have tried many mediums, whether it be watercolor, inks, acrylics, polymer clay, charcoal, but have fell in love with Copic marker and Faber Castel pencil crayons. I create realism portraits of wild animals and people from my favorite television shows or movies. I have recently started a new art from that involves paper cutting, colouring and shadowboxes, I have finally found the style I have been searching for, my uniqueness and originality, it has only taken me, 25 years, but I am very excited to share with you my Looking Glasses.
If I had to give advice to fellow artists, or anyone wishing to pursue the arts, the sky is the limit, even if you are disappointed by one piece, there is so much more artwork to be made. Just keep swimming .. *ahem* .. I mean … just keep drawing.
I look forward to meeting you.
