My name is Roberta and I live and work in beautiful central Alberta. I am a graduate of the Graphic Design program at Grant MacEwan, majoring in Illustration. I stay busy during the week at my day job as an in-house Graphic Designer and Event Coordinator for Edmonton's Food Bank, but my afternoons and weekends consist of much more artsy stuff.
My art is designed to make you smile and bring a little warmth and whimsy into your life. The name, Stuff and Things, comes from the constant question of what sort of art I make. The answer has always been hard for me to answer due to my nature of working with so many mediums. I found that I usually answered the question with: “Oh you know, stuff and things”.
So when trying to brand my artist-self, my wonderful boyfriend jokingly said, “Why not Stuff and Things?” I have been making art of some sort or another since I was very small, and really started to hone in on my skills during my university years. I began selling my art a few years ago when a friend talked me into joining her at a local art show. Since then I have enjoyed filling my spare time making fabric flowers and a whole assortment of different creations.
