Michelle discovered her passion for painting accidentally in Royden Mill’s Art Fundamentals class at UofA in 2006. She received a Diploma of Fine Art from Grant MacEwan University in 2010 and has been wrestling with her creativity ever since. Michelle is currently the Purchaser at The Paint Spot.
In 2014, Michelle challenged herself to create her first series of paintings, “The Endless In Between”. This was her first time working on washi paper with high flow acrylics to achieve watercolour effects. It is now her favourite way of painting.
Michelle paints to satisfy her love for colour and image and because the power that an image has to relate a feeling absolutely inspires her. She paints in order to communicate feelings of hope, faith, perseverance and joy.
