Lisa Jones is a visual artist living and working in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta in 2015. Lisa enjoys painting with oils and recently had her first solo exhibition ‘The Menagerie’ at Latitude 53. In her recent work Lisa has been drawn to the circus and its exploitation of performers and animals for family entertainment. In her work she is able to explore and express her disdain for the way human beings treat animals and one another. Lisa uses her art as a means of dealing with parts of herself that she wishes to understand better and hopes to create work that falls somewhere between the realm of the comedic and the morose.
You can find her during the Art Walk in the gazebo park (Area E) and peruse more of her work online at her website: www.LisaJones.info
