The Chrysalis Art Studio is one of the programs offered at Chrysalis a Society for adults with developmental disabilities. The studio philosophy is based on the “open studio” concept”. It provides a creative space for adults with disabilities to explore and develop their talents and skills. The art studio offers a variety of expressive arts programs including: Dance, Music Therapy, Drum Circle, Musical Theater, Drama and Visual Arts. Studio artists work in a variety of visual art media from drawing, painting, printmaking, clay ceramics and sculpture. They have the option of working individually or collaboratively. Many of the artists work on commissions or paintings for individual art shows. They also host a major Art Show each year in April to showcase their work. At Chrysalis Art Studio the primary goal is to create opportunities for our artists to connect with the community through the arts.
