Bruce Whaley

At 6 years of age, I was already drawing the farm animals, trucks and tractors, from my rural environment in the Ottawa valley of eastern Ontario.

This penchant for art and early drawing talent was spotted while still in elementary school, and later lead to a 4 year technical art course, where I graduated from the commercial art program.

Tutored in drawing and watercolor through school, I am primarily self-taught in oil painting, and enjoy working in all 3 mediums.

My drawings and paintings feature my love for human and animal portraiture, and landscape painting, in a realist style.

Inspiration for me comes from everyday sights and events, as well as personal experiences.

Look for me and my display between 103 and 102 streets on the north side of Whyte Avenue.
