At 6 years of age, I was already drawing the farm animals, trucks and tractors, from my rural environment in the Ottawa valley of eastern Ontario.
Tutored in drawing and watercolor through a 4 year commercial art course, I am primarily self-taught in oil and acrylic painting, and enjoy working in all 4 mediums.
My drawings and paintings feature my love of human and animal portraiture, and landscape painting, in my own realist style.
Inspiration for me can come from an interesting location, lighting, or atmosphere in everyday sights and events, plus personal experiences and travels.
Retiring from the regular work force in 2015, I am now pursuing my life-long dream, of creating art.
